AKICILJ: floormats for standing desks?
Mar. 23rd, 2012 06:54 pm(I posted this on Google+, but I figure I should post it here as well....)
I'm thinking about rearranging my office to make more use of the standing desk that I have.
Any suggestions for an ideal floormat to use to stand on for this? Best would be something that is reasonably cat-proof, and I expect to be using it barefoot rather than in shoes.
Also, it would be nice if it doesn't break if I put a stool on it, since I sometimes use a stool to sit at my standing desk, but of course I could just move the floormat out of the way first.

Date: 2012-03-24 06:28 pm (UTC)These come in a variety of thicknesses, from 3/8" to 5/8", and a few colors. I have a Grainger account if you can't find anything comparable elsewhere. If you do a search for anti-fatigue mats there or elsewhere, you'll find lots of variation. I'm assuming that you don't need one with drainage, cat or not. ;) Also, this is pretty cat-proof. If you stand in your bare feet, one without texture like this www.grainger.com/Grainger/NOTRAX-Mat-3LY65?Pid=search might be a better choice. Depends on how aggressive the cat is.
