Good grief....
Apr. 15th, 2004 01:50 amLast week, I carried a box of ten reams of printer paper from the supplies room up to the student computer lab in my office building. (It's a small building, maybe three or dozen grad students and a dozen professors have offices in it.) I put three reams in the printers, since they were both essentially out, leaving seven still in the box.
Today, I happened to notice that the box had exactly one ream of paper left in it, and there was half of another sitting next to it. No signs of any of the remainder, which leads me to suspect that it's all been used up. By four dozen people. In one week.
This is, I think, somewhere in the vast fuzzy space between impressive and disturbing.
