I've been having my computers display 24-hour time rather than 12-hour time, so that I get practice using it. A lot of computer logs that come up at work are in 24-hour time, and a fair bit of the world uses it at least sometimes, so it seems useful to not have to think about conversions.

It turns out that a lot of the times I'm aware of my computer clock are when it's nearly time to go to bed. Just now, I was looking at the clock on the stove to see what time it was, and it showed "11:07", and my immediate thought was, "ah, 23:07."

And then I was amused, because although I was expecting to get better at converting 24-hour times to 12-hour times, I wasn't quite expecting to be automatically going the other way too.
