I now have a sheet of pegboard on the wall, with wrenches of all common sizes hanging on pegs in order of size (one row for inches, one for metric), and sockets of each size in vertical rows below the corresponding wrenches, ordered by drive size (1/4", 3/8", 1/2") and type (6-point or 12-point).

This makes me very happy.

There have been many times in my life when I needed a half-inch wrench for something, and spent a lot of time looking through jumbled drawers and other places trying to find one and figure out where I'd left it last, and often given up and used an adjustable wrench instead. Now I have six of them, and I know exactly where all of them are. I don't have six of all of the sizes; it just worked out that way with the half-inch ones once I had found all the ones I'd accumulated over the years. And I do have multiples of most sizes, which is good because it's common to want two of the same size at once.

(This pegboard isn't new. I ordered all the sockets this evening, though; previously they were just ordered by the bolt size and otherwise random. And then I was noticing how satisfying it was to just have it all completely organized.)
