brooksmoses: (Two)

We have a neighbor who, on a fairly regular basis, whistles outside our window at about midnight to call his cat in. (The cat is named "Gracie".)

I wish to note that tonight, instead of the usual single-note whistle one normally calls animals with, he was whistling the line from the "1812 Overture" that comes about four bars before the cannons.

I'm told that the bridge to "Over the Rainbow" came from the tune the lyricist used to whistle for his cat.
