suzimoses and I were discussing spices and looking at various things in our spice rack, and I happened to look at the ingredients in the "Chinese Five Spice" mix: Anise, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, ginger.
To which my immediate reaction was, "Those are cookie spices!"
Now I want to try making some Chinese-five-spice cookies.
