[livejournal.com profile] 11011110 explains how he uses it, and why it's good for that.

This seems useful, given all the posts I've seen about people trying it and having the "it's nifty and shiny, but what does one do with it?" reaction.

i'm using it (with ian) for the list of things we need/want for the baby. that way we both have access, can change it, and update it. things we have to look into (like which crib/pram) and things that don't really matter (receiving blankets and onesies). we can post links etc for each other before we make our real baby registry that way. and have it all in one place.

I'm definitely having the, "It's neat, but what do you do with it?" reaction. Part of that is social, though. I find that I'm fielding a lot of ideas for things that leverage its unique features, but getting other people to play along is hard. I don't know if that will improve once it gets some sort of critical mass.

i'm using it for collaborative writing. it's awesomely useful for collecting all sorts of research materials and comments on it in one place, and for brainstorming together.
