Obligatory New Year's Eve post.

Or placeholder for same, or something like that. I'd like to do a sort of year-in-retrospect and suchlike post. However, it is currently 10pm, and I'm driving to the airport in five hours, and visiting with family is rather more important than making timely posts. And I probably won't be staying up until midnight anyway.

Thus: As far as I am concerned, New Year's Day is postponed 24 hours. :)
