So I was looking through the OED's list of words added last quarter, and reading some of the various new definitions and the quotes they were sourced from, and came across this one in obfusticate:

1997 Re: Behe's Last Laugh in talk.origins (Usenet newsgroup) 13 Feb., Behe conveniently ignores and obfusticates the real mechanism of evolutionary change.

I hadn't realized they were considering Usenet to be a printed source for that sort of purpose. How neat!

Those of you who are trying to get specific words included in the OED, take note!

I couldn't find that post in Google Groups either, searching on "obfusticate, Behe, laugh", so they must be using something else.
