I just went out and took a few photos of the last of the lunar eclipse; here's the best one. (Which is, ironically, the first of the couple dozen I took; apparently my guess for the right exposure was spot-on.)
D'oh! I was thinking of how much I wanted to go take a look at it, but I couldn't think of anyone who'd be interested in coming along and I didn't know of any good spots. Darn it! Next time I'll be sure to send you a note. :)
I didn't even look -- two reasons: I thought it was going to be socked in, and I was signed-in to help volunteers in swing states (I keep repeating this all over, but I wasn't much help).
When I went out later, I saw the moon, in a bright, clear patch of sky.
The nice fellow says there's some minus tides at convenient times in a couple of weeks, so that's a natural phenomenon we don't have to miss.
