Land of dreams, cloaked in grey,
Rise again at dawn of day -
Thy new birth has come to pass,
Land of dreams, now shattered glass....
. . .
I was there to load the truck when Mik moved his things out of storage into the house.
I was there to load the truck when Rose moved her things out of her apartment into storage, and out of storage into the house.
I was there to load the truck when Josh and Jen moved their things out of the apartment in Sunnyvale, and into the house, and House Dreamland became real.
. . .
And I was there to load the truck when Rose and Josh moved their things out of the house, and House Dreamland was no more.
. . .
I believed in the dreams that this household was built on. I am proud of that, and I am proud of the work I put into making those dreams a reality.
I grieve that it is broken and lost, and I mourn for how it broke. I mourn also for the hurt that my four friends have gone through.
May they find comfort.
May their worlds heal, and may their dreams find new birth.
. . .
Thy people now no longer roam,
We reclaim our broken home -
Bring thee from the dark impasse,
Free the land of shattered glass....
May it come to be so.
