Book meme, via [livejournal.com profile] tendyl, who got it from [livejournal.com profile] rivka: List the ten books physically closest to you:

A cheaply-bound collection of printouts of various notes on LaTeX.
A small sketchbook containing notes on software installed on my office computer. (This is rather out of date, as I mostly of stopped updating it after a few months or so.)
Energy and Power: A Scientific American Book. (A collection of articles, no editor listed.)
A First Course in Turbulence, Tennekes and Lumley.
Handbook of Mathematical Functions, Abramowitz and Stegun. (A very large dictionary of all sorts of random weird functions, most of which arise as solutions to differential equations.)
A Guide to Circuit Simulation and Analysis Using PSpice, Tuinenga. (I have never read this book, or even opened it, or used PSpice. I'm not completely sure why I have it.)
Numerical Recipes in Fortran 77, Second Edition, Press, Teukolsky, Vetterling, and Flannery. (A useful book, but unfortunately mostly source-code examples which are restrictively licensed and thus amount to annoying temptation.)
Thermodynamics, Cengel and Boles.
The Molecular Theory of Fluids, Green.
Heat and Mass Transfer, 2d Edition, Eckert and Drake.

<giggle> I'm sitting with my back to the icon corner: the ten books physically closest to me are all Bibles.
